Xerces is a blue butterfly

Our xerces is named after an extinct butterfly, Xerces Blue. The butterfly name is taken from a Persian king, Xerxes. The 'x' was replaced with 'c' in French spelling. 

Xerces has a special connection with our historical date of March 13, our logo and The Great Battle of Badr 313 and the 13th Quranic verse of the third chapter. It means victory and success to us. It is also unique, after all, to start a name with letter 'x'.

Xerces adalah nama rama-rama biru, Xerces Blue yang telah pupus sekitar tahun 1941 di California, Amerika Syarikat. Xerces diambil nama dari raja Parsi Xerxes dan diubah ejaannya kepada xerces.

Xerces merupakan nama yang unik kerana jarang sekali nama sesuatu objek bermula dengan x dan xerces mempunyai pertalian erat dengan kewujudan, nilai, matlamat dan harapan kami.

Xerces is alive again!
